About ROSALEE’S PUNISHMENT:
Ken Ross Continues His Erotic Suspense Quest With “Rosalee’s Punishment”
For me, the most impressive writing comes at the beginning of this well-structured suspense novel. The elegiac prose is poetic and therefore beautiful. The erotic scenes which follow are also impressive but repetitive.
The novel moves forward with the author telling his dead love about his sexual desires and feats after her death and gradually Catherine, his lost love, is superseded by his new obsession – Nina. The author also learns on the way that he was second best for Catherine who found true fulfillment with Rosalee. (In this way, the tastelessness of a man disclosing his rampant desires to a corpse is diminished as the plot takes its hold!)
Intertwined in the novel is criminal intent and other extreme material which made me think of de Sade in his prison, writing himself to a standstill, or Genet and his perverse world of wolfish desires.
I think Mr. Ross has written a good novel with a plot that is both enticing and subtle-hidden till the final pages of “his” beautiful neighbor’s punishment.
